 it grows hazy,
the moon in my cup--
white sake

 wind from the prairie
dries my sleeves--
all these purple flowers
bearing thorns

 just hold tight
and lean into the wheel--
southerly winds

 tall grass, dry and amber--
I release the cicada
I kept in a jar
